Seeking Medical Professionals with a Passion for Ethics in Human Research : Join the HREBA-CTC as a Vice-Chair or Board Member

The Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta – Clinical Trials Committee (HREBA-CTC) is a pivotal regulatory board overseeing clinical trials in Alberta. We are seeking a dedicated Vice-Chair and additional Board Members to help guide our ethical review and oversight processes.
 
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Vice-Chair or Board Member, you will play a crucial role in reviewing clinical trials involving adult and pediatric participants.
Your expertise will contribute to ethical decisions impacting community-based/private practice physicians and other healthcare professionals.
 
Qualifications:
A medical degree (MD) and a background in human research.
 
Meeting Schedule:
Monthly meetings every 2nd Friday at 9:00 a.m.
Meeting format (in-person/virtual/hybrid) and duration dependent on the review agenda.

Compensation:
Members receive an honorarium for study reviews and meeting attendance.
