CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – PRESIDENT’S AWARD

Deadline for Submission – March 16, 2012

Description: The President’s Award is presented to a current or former CAREB member for their outstanding contribution and commitment to enhancing the protection of human research participants and to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes of ethical review of research with humans, thus advancing CAREB’s objectives.

Nomination Process:  Nominations are solicited from the CAREB membership, including Board and committee members, and must be received by March 16, 2012 to be considered. Nominations should be forwarded to the Co-Presidents of CAREB (contact information below) and include the name of the nominee and the reasons for the nomination.

Selection Process: Recipients will be selected by CAREB’s Board of Directors. In the event a large number of nominations are received, the Board may delegate the Executive Committee or an ad hoc committee constituted by the Board to prepare a short list of three candidates for consideration by the Board. The Board may decide not to give an award in any given year if it deems that no nomination warrants the award in that year.

Award:  The award will be announced and given at CAREB’s Annual General Meeting to be held in Toronto, April 26-28, 2012.
