The [(RE)2] Conference: The Future of Research Ethics.

Dear CAREB members in the Greater Toronto Area,

The Joint Centre for Bioethics, University of Toronto will host an upcoming event that may be of interest to you – The [(RE)2] Conference: The Future of Research Ethics.

The conference will take place on November 29, 2012 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at Hart House.

From the online description of the event: The future of research ethics is the focus of this conference hosted by the Joint Centre for Bioethics. The research environment is changing in response to new technologies, new drugs, genomics and new guidelines. The impact on researchers, research review boards and their members and administrators, and industry partners has been considerable. Issues of privacy, conflicts of interest, protection of subjects, qualifications of researchers in research ethics and credentials of REB members and administrators are just some of the challenges. This conference will address some of these issues in an interactive format.

CAREB members and others are encouraged to participate in this educational event. For more information or to register, visit the JCB website: http://www.jointcentreforbioethics.ca/services/re2-conference.shtml
