Canadian researcher in legal battle to keep her interviews confidential
UPDATE:
On November 29, 2016 l’UQAM put forward a statement in their internal newsletter Info Direction informing their community that they support Professor Maillé in her efforts and reiterating the importance of confidentiality as central to conducting research. This was demonstrated via an Act of voluntary intervention which was sent to the courts on November 25, 2016.

Le Mardi 29 novembre 2016 un article est apparu dans l’Info Direction de l’UQAM informant leur communauté que l’Université est intervenue dans les procédures judiciaires pendantes devant la Cour supérieure, appuyant Mme Maillé. Le document suivant : Acte d’intervention volontaire à titre conservatoire de l’Université du Québec à Montréal a été déposé à la Cour par l’Université le 25 novembre 2016. Il est clair dans ce document que l’UQAM soutient la chercheuse dans ses démarches et est en accord avec l’importance du principe de confidentialité pour la recherche.
