About the speaker:
Dean Sharpe, Ph.D., has been the manager of the University of Toronto’s Social Sciences, Humanities and Education Research Ethics Board since 2004. He has facilitated educational sessions with the Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards and the National Council on Ethics in Human Research, and has participated in policy and education round tables with the federal Inter-agency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics. His prior experience includes 10 years of basic research on early cognitive development and language acquisition, as well as a brief spell in not-for-profit, researching neighbourhood-level social and economic impacts of arts activity.
