Librarians as REB members – Survey 1 Invitation to CAREB-ACUC members

Dear CAREB/ACUC Member,

University of Alberta librarians, Trish Chatterley and Denis Lacroix, invite you to participate in an exploratory study of Canadian librarians as Research Ethic Board (REB) or Animal Care and Use committee (ACUC) members. As a member of an REB or ACUC, you can provide insight into the role of librarians on REBs or ACUCs. We need your help in understanding how many librarians sit on Canadian REBs and ACUCs, what role they play, and how they were chosen to take on this role.

Please find attached an information letter regarding this study. If you would like to participate, please continue to the online anonymous survey: https://goo.gl/forms/s8rgfxxMgBmThL4K3 . We would appreciate a response by April 17, 2017

Please note: We would greatly appreciate your help in recruiting librarians at your institution who serve on an REB or an ACUC; therefore, we will also be sending you a second email message to forward to potential participants. We thank you in advance for your time!

Warm regards,

Denis Lacroix Trish Chatterley
